Clean, safe drinking water is something many of us take for granted, yet it remains one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Behind the convenience of our daily routines lies a stark global reality: more than two billion people still live without secure access to this vital resource, and sadly, over 1,000 children die every single day from diseases caused by contaminated water. It is a crisis that demands not just our attention, but our collective action.<\/span><\/p>

Between May and November 2026, the <\/span>Walkathon for Water<\/i><\/b> will return for its fourth edition. This brilliant charitable initiative is a collaborative effort between the <\/span>Fondazione Noi Siamo Acqua<\/i><\/b>\u2014a non-profit organisation established by the Roca Group in 2010 to promote sustainable water management\u2014and 27 resorts managed by <\/span>Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. (HGV)<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Together, they are organising 20 charity walks across seven countries, spanning Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Portugal, and Austria.<\/span><\/p>


What makes this event particularly moving is its symbolic design. Each participant will walk a distance of between four and six kilometres. This is not a random figure; it represents the actual distance that millions of children around the world are forced to travel every single day just to fetch water for their families. The ultimate goal of these walks is to raise essential funds for two major projects dedicated to improving clean water access and sanitation in vulnerable communities within India and Mexico. The <\/span>Fondazione Noi Siamo Acqua<\/i><\/b> is already highly experienced in this field, having successfully developed over 100 projects across 40 countries, positively impacting the lives of more than four million people to date.<\/span><\/p>
