Paseos por Europa<\/strong><\/p>

Las marchas, que var\u00edan en ubicaci\u00f3n desde Espa\u00f1a y el Reino Unido hasta Francia, Italia, Portugal y Austria, ponen de relieve la crisis mundial del agua. Los hechos son que m\u00e1s de 2.000 millones de personas en todo el mundo carecen de acceso a agua potable, y m\u00e1s de 1.000 ni\u00f1os mueren cada d\u00eda por enfermedades causadas por esta falta de acceso.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

6 kil\u00f3metros para el agua<\/strong><\/p>

Cada Walkathon recorre una distancia simb\u00f3lica de 6 kil\u00f3metros, que representa la distancia media que muchos ni\u00f1os de \u00c1frica, Asia y Am\u00e9rica Latina se ven obligados a caminar cada d\u00eda para recoger agua del suministro m\u00e1s cercano.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Los senderistas saben lo que se siente<\/strong><\/p>\n

Las personas que viven en la mayor parte del mundo occidental pueden dar unos pasos hasta un suministro de agua y abrir el grifo para acceder a agua limpia al instante. Pero no todo el mundo es tan afortunado. Al recorrer esta distancia de 6 km, los participantes experimentan una peque\u00f1a parte de la lucha diaria a la que se enfrentan quienes carecen de acceso a agua limpia cerca de sus hogares.<\/p>\n

La iniciativa pretende reducir estas distancias y ofrecer a los ni\u00f1os la oportunidad de una vida m\u00e1s digna.<\/p>\n

Este a\u00f1o, la atenci\u00f3n se centra en dos proyectos de ayuda concretos:<\/span><\/p>

India:<\/strong> Construcci\u00f3n de aseos dom\u00e9sticos en 50 hogares de la comunidad ind\u00edgena irular de Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tanzania:<\/strong> Proporcionar un acceso sostenible al agua potable a la aldea de Kwedizinga, en la regi\u00f3n de Tanga.Estos proyectos pretenden beneficiar a m\u00e1s de 5.600 personas, mejorando su salud y bienestar mediante un mejor saneamiento y acceso a agua limpia.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Llamamiento a la solidaridad y a la acci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>

Los Walkathons for Water son algo m\u00e1s que simples marchas ben\u00e9ficas: son una invitaci\u00f3n a tomar partido contra la crisis mundial del agua. Al participar, las personas que deciden apoyar el reto sirven para concienciar sobre este acuciante problema y contribuir a soluciones que pueden cambiar vidas.<\/p>

El objetivo es recaudar la mayor cantidad posible de fondos para apoyar proyectos de accesibilidad al agua en todo el mundo y combatir la mortalidad y morbilidad causadas por la escasez de agua. Cada kil\u00f3metro recorrido por los participantes simboliza un kil\u00f3metro que otra persona no tendr\u00e1 que recorrer en busca de agua.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>
